Compassionately Helping Women to handle what’s “on their plate,” heal, and thrive with evidence-based therapy in Wadsworth, Ohio
-
It can be exhausting to juggle responsibilities and expectations, set by yourself or others.
When anxiety takes over your life, it can feel like you are trapped in a cycle of preventing the next problem and expecting the other shoe to drop at any moment. It can show up with chronic physical symptoms, irritation, performance paralysis, and changes in activity patterns. Anxiety is so disruptive, and it can go hand and hand with feeling hopeless, inadequate, and depressed.
-
Women don't have it easy, and trying to thrive in all the roles you play in your family and community can be draining. Feeling like you aren't meeting expectations, or facing specific challenges like pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum recovery, or fertility issues, can be so challenging.
-
You wish you could just move on, but that's not always so easy. Whether it was a big loss, an unexpected life change, or a series of traumatic events, you find yourself stuck in emotional pain. You might be avoiding anything that reminds you of that pain, and you might be having a hard time with daily activities or enjoying the good things in your life today.
-
If your faith is important to you, then it’s an important component of your mental health as well.
When you feel like God is far away, or doesn’t care, or is disappointed in your anxiety or depression, that makes recovery harder. When you are angry with God for your pain, it’s hard to lean on God for support.
Establishing a renewed understanding of a loving, caring God with good plans for you, can be a part of your therapy experience at New Bridges.
